Revista Femenina, founded in 2018 by Kurt Bendfeldt and Sheila Sandoval, emerged with the vision of creating a publication that highlighted valuable articles for women and families in Guatemala. Initially, we began as a print magazine with a monthly circulation of 10,000 copies, distributed free of charge at high-traffic locations for our target audience. In its early stages, we collaborated with 25 professional women, each an expert in her field, generating valuable content for our community. During the pandemic, instead of disappearing, we grew stronger by reaching families' homes with medications and other essential items, thanks to strategic partnerships with delivery services. In 2020, we evolved to a 100% digital format, launching the website www.revistafemeninagt.com. This transition allowed Revista Femenina to reach a global audience, giving more women, both within and outside of Guatemala, the opportunity to write and express themselves. We introduced podcasts and webinars with professionals whose content provided encouragement and hope to families and women in lockdown. Throughout 2023, we continued our digital transformation, expanding our platform to a more accessible format. Now, any woman interested in writing and sharing her content can easily create an account and publish her article at any time. We are excited to invite courageous women to share their stories, write about what they are passionate about, and contribute to the growth of our community. At Revista Femenina, we seek to create a space where women can empower themselves in a healthy way and experience positive transformation. We firmly believe that women are the cornerstone of every society. Join us and be part of this inspiring community!
