“12 Years of Natural Health: The Story of Susy Naturals and a Life Dedicated to Healing”

Testimonial from Susana Salazar – Founder of Susy Naturals

My name is Susana Salazar , and I am the founder of Susy Naturals , a holistic health and natural therapies center that has grown through hard work, continuous study, and God's blessing. I want to share with you my life story, my journey of training, and my dedication to the well-being of others.

From 1990 to 2010, I worked as a sales representative for a pharmacy, including making medical visits throughout the country. It was a period in which I learned a great deal about the world of traditional healthcare. However, my heart always leaned towards natural products, and that's how, in 2012, I started a small business selling natural products in a shop located on the outskirts of town. That's when my true passion began.

People consulted me about plants, remedies, and treatments. This sparked a deep desire in me to further my education. My husband was a fundamental support during that time; he encouraged me to become a professional. That's how I came to CEFHONAC , a school of Naturopathy and natural therapies. In 2013, I completed my studies in Naturopathy, but due to a lack of resources, I wasn't able to obtain my diploma. However, in 2014, I received my diploma as a Neural Therapist .

Thanks to a loan my son arranged at the bank, in July 2013 I was able to open Susy Naturals in unit 5 of the El Pasillo shopping center in San Miguel Petapa. That space, which began with great faith and few resources, is now a place where many people come seeking support and holistic health.

Since then, I haven't stopped studying . In 2015, I trained in Apitherapy and Mesotherapy at the school of Dr. Vicente Arévalo, whom I deeply admire. In 2018, I began my studies as a Nursing Assistant at ESAE (Escuela Superior de Enfermería), which I completed with honors in 2019. That same year, I received a FUNIBER scholarship to specialize in Phytotherapy, Aromatherapy, and Nutrition at the Universidad del Atlántico in Spain, which I successfully completed.

In January 2020, I met Dr. Luis Pedro Rodríguez and Engineer Federico Rodríguez, directors of the BPN school. My goal was to finally obtain my diploma as a Naturopath, and they were key in that process. The pandemic hit, but that didn't stop us: we began studying online. Thus, in August 2020, I started Naturopathy, and in October, Advanced Homeopathy. We even received a bonus course in Neural Biopuncture.

I worked during the day and studied at night, but when you love something, it doesn't feel like a burden. In June 2021, I received my diploma as a Naturopath , in July as a Homeopath , and in July 2022 as an Advanced Acupuncture practitioner , where I also studied Yamamoto Cranial Acupuncture and Tung Acupuncture.

That same year, I began a professional Apitherapy course with the World Apitherapy Organization, which I also completed with a diploma. In 2023, I studied Ultrasonography with EDUCA, accredited by Rafael Landívar University. At the same time, I opened a branch which, although it didn't meet expectations and had to close, was a valuable learning experience.

In October 2023, I began a Master's degree in BioNeural Puncture at BPN, which I completed in December 2024. In January 2024, I received a scholarship from the U.S. Embassy and Rafael Landívar University for the Business Administration for Women Entrepreneurs program, which I will complete in August 2024. In June 2025, I also took a short course on Venous Insufficiency , and in July, another on Serum Formulations .

Today, Susy Naturals turns 12. Looking back on the beginning, when we struggled to pay the rent and every expense was a challenge, I can only thank God. I also thank my husband, who has always supported me, especially in my training.

I am a mother of three: Alejandra (36), Tony (35), and Rodrigo (26). I am also a grandmother to three beautiful boys: Nicholas (15), Santi (11), and Mathias (7), whom I lovingly call "my beautiful ones." Although working and studying was a challenge, I always had the support of my husband, my mother-in-law, and my mother to take care of my children when they were little. Now that they are adults, I also gladly help take care of my grandchildren whenever I can.

My life has been a blend of faith, effort, and constant learning. Each diploma is another tool to help those who trust in me. And every patient who improves is a blessing. Thank God for giving me the energy and passion to continue learning, healing, and serving.
