5 things I never imagined I'd value at 41
This year I discovered a clarity I had never felt before. In November everything became clear: I learned to see with love what life brought me and I understood that this stage is deeply mine.
1. The empty nest as rebirth.
Seeing my son work, contribute, and overcome his fear showed me that he's ready for his life… and I'm ready to reclaim mine. I never imagined I could be so grateful for this shared freedom.
2. My strong and conscious body.
At 41, my body is more toned and muscular thanks to hypopressive exercises. I was afraid of losing muscle mass and facing perimenopause, but it ended up being a process of self-discovery and transformation. Now I help other women rebuild themselves from the inside out.
3. Accept hormonal changes with love.
I'd never been 40 before, and seeing my body change without my permission could have been frightening. But as I understood it, calm emerged. Today I value this wise stage where my body speaks to me and I listen.
4. A conflict that brought clarity.
In October, I experienced a painful closure that ultimately revealed who truly offers support during difficult times. I am grateful for that clarity; it is also a form of self-love.
5. The love that came when I already knew how to fly on my own.
I learned to be independent, strong, and decisive. And right then, a beautiful love appeared, one that supports without diminishing. It arrived during the best time of my life.
My advice to mothers: let go of your children, take care of your own life, and honor your partner if you have one. Life rewards you: perhaps with a new or renewed love, but always from a place of self that prioritizes yourself. Children value a mother who is free more than a mother in agony.
