More than an event: a manifesto on wheels in the Emirates
"When women walk together, their rights advance as well."
On August 27, Dubai will witness a large community walk and run as part of the “Dubai Mallathon”, in honor of Emirati Women’s Day , which celebrates half a century of female achievements.
This event transcends sports: it is a manifestation of collective health, national pride, and civic visibility. Women of different ages will share space, movement, and symbolic meaning.
In a region whose cultural narrative has been marked by restrictions and traditional roles, these public activities are a form of social affirmation, building new images of female participation.
Through physical exertion, this day seeks to connect us with history and project a future where female mobility and presence are natural, celebrated, and unhindered.
