Todavía cuesta demasiado alcanzar la cima

It's still too difficult to reach the top

Women's leadership, though increasingly visible, continues to face seemingly insurmountable barriers. At the business, political, and social levels, women still encounter glass ceilings that limit their advancement, despite their proven ability and talent. The current landscape shows that, after several years of continuous progress, setbacks can even occur when equality is not firmly protected.

In large international corporations, the representation of women in executive positions has declined in the last year, after nearly a decade of growth. This drop is alarming, as it demonstrates that progress is not linear and that, if not defended, there is a risk of losing ground gained. Experts insist that diversity and inclusion are not a luxury or a trend, but a necessity for innovation and social justice.

The issue isn't limited to the business world. In politics, although there are inspiring examples like Angela Merkel and Jacinda Ardern, the truth is that female leadership is still scarce and often faces harsher scrutiny than that of men. Women who reach positions of power not only bear their responsibilities but also the pressure of representing an entire group.

Even so, every woman who breaks these barriers becomes a role model for thousands of girls and young women who dream of leading. Representation matters, and every female face at the top sends a clear message: yes, it is possible. The challenge now is to ensure that these victories are not exceptions, but the norm.
