Violencia Obstétrica, el grito silencioso de muchas Madres

Obstetric violence, the silent cry of many mothers

At Revista Femenina, we have always believed that some topics deserve to be discussed openly, courageously, and with an open heart. Today, we raise our voices for thousands of women who have been silent for too long. Because not everything that hurts leaves a visible scar. And not everything that happens in a delivery room should be considered "normal."

Obstetric violence is a reality. And although it's uncomfortable to name it, it's necessary to do so . We're referring to that dehumanizing treatment, to procedures performed without consent, to the hurtful words spoken when we are most vulnerable. To that silent mistreatment that many women have experienced during pregnancy, childbirth, or postpartum.

We were deeply moved by the recent testimony of singer Greeicy, who dared to share what many keep silent about: that giving birth, in some places, is still synonymous with fear, humiliation, or emotional abandonment. It's not an isolated case. It's an echo of what so many women feel but don't know how to put into words.

At Revista Femenina, we want to say it loud and clear: no woman should be treated as a number, as just another body, as a nuisance.
We deserve births that are supported, warm, informed and full of respect.
We deserve to be heard.

That's why we share this message today not only as a wake-up call, but as an act of love and responsibility. Because words have power, and silence... perpetuates injustice.

If you've experienced something similar, you're not alone.
If you know someone who has gone through this, support them.
If you are a healthcare professional, be part of the change.

At Revista Femenina we believe that every story deserves to be told, that every voice can ignite awareness, and that every step towards dignified motherhood is a victory for all.

Today we break the silence. And we do it together.
