Guatemala, February 2025. The Association of Insurance and Bonding Brokers (ACORDES) is pleased to announce the formation of its new Board of Directors for the 2025-2026 period, consolidating a team of professionals highly committed to the growth and strengthening of the insurance sector in Guatemala.

 ACORDES, founded in 1987, is a non-profit entity that brings together 24 insurance brokerage companies in the country, dedicated to supporting and assisting insurance brokers and protecting the interests of policyholders.

 The new Board of Directors will be chaired by Byron Rodrigo Penados Zetina, who will assume the position of President for this new term. An Industrial Engineer with over 30 years of experience in the insurance sector, he has held various key positions in both Guatemala and Mexico, including roles such as Risk Inspector, Adjuster, Claims Manager, and Sales Manager. For the past decade, Penados has led Trust Corredor de Seguros, SA, where he has focused on providing strategic solutions and building strong relationships with the market's leading insurers, always with a focus on customer service.

 The complete team of the new ACORDES Board of Directors 2025-2026 is made up of the following members:

·       Secretary : Salvador Gordillo

 ACORDES will continue its mission to support its members and ensure the adoption of best practices within the Guatemalan insurance market . The association brings together the country's leading insurance brokerage firms, which are distinguished by offering personalized advice and the ability to market all the products of insurers operating in Guatemala.
