“First, I try to hydrate and have something warm, like tea, coffee, or aloe with tea. I think that many times a craving for sweets has an emotional basis, and a warm drink calms, helps you reconnect, and understand what you really need.”

 

Next, I make a protein dessert with egg whites and protein powder, either baked or pan-fried, like a sweet pancake. Another quick option I love is Greek yogurt with a sprinkle of quinoa on top. And when I'm short on time, I go straight for a protein bar or shake, which fills me up and makes me happy.

The trick is to always have the right ingredients at home or carry something in your purse so you don't give in to temptation when hunger or a craving strikes.”

 “When I crave something sweet, I eat a piece of fruit. It’s naturally sweet and also has fiber, which helps me feel full. Another strategy is to make a protein shake, which, in addition to being nutritious, reduces the chances of ending up eating something full of sugar and with no nutritional value.”
