The Mathile Institute invites the business sector to transform lives through its Sponsorship Program
“A scientific and social initiative that promotes optimal child nutrition and allows companies to generate a real and measurable impact in vulnerable communities.”
Guatemala, December 2025. Guatemala continues to face one of the greatest human development challenges in the region: one in two children lives with chronic malnutrition, irreversibly affecting their physical and cognitive growth and their school performance. This reality demands sustainable, science-based solutions developed in partnership with the private sector.
With this purpose, the Mathile Institute for the Advancement of Human Nutrition presents to companies its Sponsorship Program, a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative designed to guarantee effective and scientifically validated nutrition to thousands of children living in vulnerable conditions.
The Sponsorship Program is an initiative of the Mathile Institute that uses Chispuditos, its flagship nutritional supplement, as its core scientific solution. Chispuditos is formulated with the exclusive M+ formula, developed by the Mathile Institute, which provides 99% of the daily requirements of 21 essential vitamins and minerals with just one tablespoon a day. For 15 years, this formula has proven to be a cost-effective intervention that improves indicators of energy, attention, growth, and overall well-being in early childhood.
Since its implementation, the program has benefited more than 145,000 children in Central America, thanks to a model that combines scientific evidence, continuous monitoring and partnerships with local organizations committed to child nutrition.
"When a company sponsors a child, it is investing in their future, their education, and the possibility of breaking cycles of poverty. Chispuditos is more than a supplement: it is an opportunity to change lives with a real and measurable impact," stated Lisa Villanueva, Chief Operating Officer of Chispuditos.
Through monthly, quarterly, or annual contributions, sponsoring companies guarantee the delivery of Chispuditos directly to the communities. Each contribution translates into a nutritional product accompanied by a tracking system that documents progress in weight, height, and overall well-being.
Participating companies receive regular impact reports, support from the Mathile Institute team, and the option to visit beneficiary communities, strengthening their institutional commitment and communication strategy with real and verifiable results.
The program also represents a strategic opportunity for companies to strengthen their CSR efforts, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals related to health, nutrition, education, and reducing inequalities. The Mathile Institute supports each partner company with materials, impact narratives, and communication resources to highlight their contributions.
"We invite companies to join this movement. Child nutrition is the foundation of the country's development, and together we can ensure that more children grow up healthy, strong, and with the opportunity to reach their full potential," added Lisa Villanueva.
The Mathile Institute reaffirms its commitment to serving humanity through solutions that effectively and profoundly impact child nutrition and invites the private sector to be part of a program that transforms realities through science, solidarity, and collective action.
