LA PAZ HOSPITAL GROUP PROMOTES ITS PREVENTION CAMPAIGN “TO CARE IS TO LOVE, GIVE LIFE”
Hospitales La Paz launched the "Caring is Loving, Giving Life" campaign during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, reaffirming its commitment to the health of Guatemalan women. The initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of prevention by providing accessible medical services that facilitate early detection and timely treatment; considered the most effective strategy for reducing the impact of this disease and saving lives.
Guatemala, October 9, 2025. In commemoration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, La Paz Hospital Group announced the implementation of a series of accessible preventative medical services, reaffirming its commitment to the comprehensive health of Guatemalan women. Healthcare professionals emphasize that early detection remains the most effective strategy for protecting women's lives, allowing for timely diagnostic testing and exponentially increasing the chances of successful treatment and a better quality of life.
Breast cancer continues to be among the leading causes of death among women worldwide, as well as in Guatemala. According to international health organizations, millions of women face this disease each year; however, regular preventative checkups, access to reliable information, and professional medical support—key factors in reducing its impact—are not given the importance they deserve.
Aware of this reality, María José Figueroa, Patient Experience Manager, commented, “Hospitals La Paz offers specialized breast cancer prevention studies such as breast ultrasound, bilateral mammography, and bone densitometry at affordable prices at our Zone 14 location; these are especially recommended for the well-being of women over 40 years of age once a year, or at younger ages when there is a family history of the disease.”
As part of the "Caring is Loving, Give Life" campaign by Hospitales La Paz, an innovative approach has been incorporated into the health sector by offering, from now on, Gift Cards for Prevention Studies in a package full of special details with home delivery. “These gift cards aim to allow people to give the gift of health and well-being to family and friends in a thoughtful way; they seek to encourage the importance of getting preventative medical exams but also to break down negative cultural and emotional barriers that often delay detection due to fear, a cold attitude during the process, or a lack of knowledge about diseases. What better gift than to give peace of mind and protection to those you love with empathy!” highlighted Margie Bocaletti, Commercial Relations and Marketing Manager.
With these actions, La Paz Hospital Group joins the global call in the fight against breast cancer, reiterating its commitment to the well-being of women and Guatemalan society. At the same time, it promotes the importance of information, close support, and prevention with human compassion as essential pillars for confronting one of today's most challenging diseases.
