With a firm commitment to continue providing access to quality medical services, La Paz Hospital Group announces the expansion of its healthcare offering in Zone 1, a specialized center for emergency care for minor ailments, designed to provide effective responses to those who need it.

Guatemala, August 2025. With the goal of responding to the growing need for efficient, accessible, and timely medical care, Hospitales La Paz confirms it will now offer emergency medical services in Zone 1 for the treatment of minor ailments. This improvement is part of its ongoing commitment to providing increasingly faster and more effective access to healthcare services in a prime, strategic location in the city center.

La Paz Urgencias Zona 1 will allow patients to receive timely care in a suitable environment with professionals specializing in this service, without needing to resort to complex care in Emergency Departments. It is especially useful for minor and/or emergency health situations such as common viral infections, general stomach ailments, minor injuries, and more. The facility offers observation, vital sign monitoring, laboratory tests, and immediate diagnoses for treatment through outpatient medical procedures that do not require hospitalization, as well as scheduled medical appointments. It is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for both private and insured patients.

Furthermore, if a patient is diagnosed with a severe case, they can be transferred to the nearest La Paz Hospital with ambulance service available. Therefore, this initiative also aims to support hospital Emergency Departments by providing rapid assistance focused on patients with critical conditions.
