PAINSA CONTRIBUTES TO COMMUNITY WELL-BEING WITH THE DRINKING TROUGH PROJECT
GrandBay Painsa Central America supports the construction of road infrastructure to benefit 29 families in the El Bebedero Community, Zone 17.
Guatemala, June 24, 2025. With a firm commitment to improving the quality of life of the communities near its operations, GrandBay Painsa Central America delivers the first phase of the road infrastructure project on 28th Avenue, El Bebedero Community, Zone 17.
This project originated from a request by local residents, who expressed the need for a proper street suitable for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. From that moment, the company worked closely with the local municipal government and the community development council (COCODE) to form a committee and jointly plan the project.
Infrastructure that transforms lives
The project is being carried out in two phases. The first phase consisted of constructing storm drains to prevent the accumulation of water and mud during the rainy season. The second phase included excavating and paving the street, directly benefiting 29 families who now have safe and adequate access to their homes.
The new infrastructure has a positive impact on the health of the inhabitants, by eliminating the conditions that previously caused diseases resulting from stagnant water and mud.
Social responsibility that generates value
The El Bebedero project is part of the Health axis within the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of GrandBay Painsa Central America, where the company continuously works on initiatives that strengthen the relationship between community, municipality and company, promoting the development and well-being of people.
"As a socially responsible company, we listen to the needs of our communities and are committed to making a positive impact. This project is a clear example of what we can achieve when we work together," said José Héctor Rodríguez, Human Resources Director of GrandBay Painsa Central America.
This joint effort confirms GrandBay Painsa Central America's commitment to social sustainability and the development of communities surrounding its operations, demonstrating that collaboration can transform realities.
