MAGDALENA SQUARE CELEBRATES “MOMENTS OF CHRISTMAS” WITH ACTIVITIES FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Cobán, Alta Verapaz, December 2025 – The most wonderful time of the year arrives at Plaza Magdalena with a program designed to create memories, strengthen family bonds, and immerse every visitor in the magic of the season. Under the theme “Moments of Christmas,” the shopping center presents a series of experiences, workshops, and charitable activities throughout December, designed to ensure an unforgettable celebration for children and adults alike.
From December 1st to 24th, Plaza Magdalena will feature a Christmas photo set located in the Byzantine Plaza, a space created especially for families to capture and preserve unique memories of this time of year. This amenity will be available Monday through Sunday and promises to become one of the most popular spots of the month, thanks to its festive atmosphere and its ability to attract more visitors to the shopping center.
As part of the family programming, the Christmas Letter to Santa Workshop will be held on Sunday, December 7th. Children can write and decorate their letters using various materials within the Christmas village, while their families enjoy exploring the area and all the shops and services Plaza Magdalena has to offer. The creativity continues on Saturday, December 13th with the Christmas Cookie Decorating Workshop, a sweet and fun experience where children will decorate gingerbread man cookies using edible materials. Following this activity, the Christmas Stocking Decorating Workshop is scheduled for Sunday, December 14th, where children can create their own Christmas stocking to take home and place on their tree as a special and meaningful ornament.
That same Sunday, Plaza Magdalena will host a special fashion show organized by the Fábrica de Reinas Academy to mark the end of its course. At this event, which will take place on the Fase V Terrace, the participating girls will showcase their confidence, talent, and everything they have learned during their modeling training, generating a dynamic flow of visitors and providing additional visibility for business partners.
In keeping with its commitment to the community, Plaza Magdalena will be holding a dog food drive throughout December. A collection box will be set up next to the Clock Tower, where visitors can donate food that will later be given to organizations dedicated to the care of vulnerable animals. This initiative seeks to promote solidarity and empathy during a season that encourages sharing.
“At Plaza Magdalena, we experience Christmas as an opportunity to create lasting memories. Every activity we've prepared reflects our commitment to the families and the community that visits us. We want December to be a month full of joy, togetherness, and experiences that brighten each day,” said Marvin Morales, Marketing Coordinator for Courban.
With these activities, Plaza Magdalena reaffirms its commitment to offering safe spaces, meaningful experiences, and community impact actions that strengthen the bond between families and the shopping center during the most special time of the year.
