Puente de Amistad launches the 5th edition of the Women Entrepreneur Award 2025
Bridge of Friendship HE proud in announce The fifth edition of the Women Entrepreneur Award , an initiative of its entrepreneurship program, Bridge to Success, celebrates the leadership and positive impact of Guatemalan women who, through their entrepreneurship, transform their families and communities.
The call for applications opened on June 1st and will remain open. until August 8 , 2025. This year, the Women Entrepreneur Award will be presented in three categories that reflect the different profiles of women entrepreneurs whom Puente de Amistad serves through its various programs, which are :
● Notable Women
This category is open to the public, specifically to female entrepreneurs residing in the regions served by the Puente al Éxito program, which are: Sololá, Chimaltenango, Santo Tomás, Chicacao, Mazatenango, Xela, San Marcos, Huehuetenango, and Totonicapán. The main requirements are: the entrepreneur must own the business and have been operating for at least two years.
● Exemplary Client
This category recognizes to the women that form part of the program of Banking Communal of Bridge of Friendship and who stand out for their commitment, empowerment and growth to level staff and Group loans. Clients must demonstrate that their business has been growing in recent years and must be an active client of the Community Banks.
● Successful Entrepreneur
Aimed at clients of the Entrepreneurship program, Bridge to Success, who have reached an advanced level in the management and expansion of their businesses. leaders and are generating impact to level of their communities, especially through the generation of local employment.
Each category will have 5 winners , who will receive cash prizes and in-kind prizes aimed at strengthening their businesses , with amounts ranging from Q1,500.00 to Q16,000.00 , depending on the category and the place obtained.
This recognition not only seeks to highlight the effort and determination of women entrepreneurs, but also to inspire new generations to transform their reality through entrepreneurship .
