GrandBay Painsa Central America inaugurates a renovated space for community well-being in the village of Agua Caliente, in Rio Hondo, Zacapa.

Representatives from GrandBay Painsa Central America and municipal leaders opened the doors of the sports complex in the village of Agua Caliente.

This project is part of their commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), through which they seek to promote the well-being of families in Zacapa. The development and renovation of the sports facilities began in mid-2023 and has been carried out in collaboration with the Río Hondo Municipal Government and the local Community Council for Urban and Rural Development (COCODE).

Facilities

The sports complex is designed to impact approximately 200 local families, providing a space where they can interact and participate in recreational activities.

Among the improvements made by GrandBay Painsa Central America are the construction of a perimeter fence, covered bleachers, restrooms, and railings, thus ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for visitors. The work was challenging, given that the bleachers were located on a rocky mountain.

The new sports complex offers comfortable facilities suitable for various sports, including five-a-side football, basketball, volleyball, and indoor football. In the collaborative renovation effort, the municipality contributed to the project by renewing the court surface, while GrandBay Painsa Centroamérica handled the markings, as well as the installation of nets and goals, and basketball hoops, depending on the sport.
