Speaker Series UFM Acton MBA shares Spanish experience
Alejandro de León inspires with his international career and broadens horizons for Guatemalan entrepreneurs
Guatemala, May 26, 2025. UFM Acton MBA had the privilege of hosting Alejandro de León , an internationally renowned Spanish entrepreneur and current professor at UFM Acton MBA, for a special event in the “Speaker Series.” The session, which brought together current students, alumni, faculty, and prospective students, offered a unique perspective on the world of business and investment, based on his real-world experience in creating, growing, and selling companies.
Alejandro de León was selected as a speaker for his international career in business creation; today he has an active commitment to the Acton community and his role as an MBA professor.
The main objective of his visit was to strengthen connections within the Acton community, foster meaningful networking , and share a true entrepreneurial story. The central theme explored was Alejandro de León's life journey as an entrepreneur: his beginnings, his greatest challenges, his most valuable failures, and his achievements, all presented from an honest and reflective perspective.
This session was invaluable for the entrepreneurs, allowing them to connect deeply with someone who has already navigated the stages they are beginning or currently developing. Hearing firsthand about their decisions, mistakes, and lessons learned provided them with practical tools and genuine motivation to face their own journey. The activity is defined as an experience that not only inspires but also strengthens bonds among community members and contributes to holistic growth.
“The diversity of participants at the event enriches the interaction and fosters connections between different generations of entrepreneurs. After the formal session, a networking space opens up where all attendees can interact directly with Alejandro de León and with each other, creating valuable conversations and new opportunities for connection,” said Hugo Diaz, director of Acton MBA in Entrepreneurship.
