"No estás, pero sigues aquí"

"You're not here, but you're still here"

Because even if a life comes to a halt, love never dies.

There are moments when time seems to break. Days when a voice falls silent, a chair remains empty, and the world—though it keeps turning—no longer feels the same. Grief arrives without warning. It simply appears, settles in your chest… and stays there, shaking everything to its core.

We stopped doing things that used to be routine. The daily calls. The family meals. That inside joke that only the two of you understood.
We stopped celebrating anniversaries. They changed their name: they are no longer special dates, but reminders.
We stop listening to certain songs because they hurt.
We stopped visiting some places because everything there screams of its absence.

And it hurts. It hurts deeply. It hurts without explanation.
Because grief isn't just about the loss of a person. It's about the loss of what we shared with them.
And in the midst of that emptiness, we often believe that everything is over.

But for those of us who believe in God, death is not the end… it is the threshold.
Saying goodbye to this world is the first step towards an eternity where nothing hurts, no one is missing, and everything is complete.
Here we cry, yes. Because we love. But we know that love doesn't die. It just changes form.

One day, we will embrace again those we miss today.
One day, we will hear that tearless laughter again.
One day, there will be no more absence, no more illness, no more goodbyes.
And that "one day"—though it may seem far off —will be longer than this life. It will be forever.

Therefore, although sadness may visit us now, so too does hope.
Because all is not lost.
Because God did not promise us that it would not hurt, but He did promise us that whoever believes in Him, even though he dies, will live.

So if you are grieving today, you are not alone.
Cry if you need to cry.
Be silent if there are no words.
But don't forget this: the love you sowed... will find you again.

"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.'" — John 11:25
