5 tips for being a stylish dad
Being a parent is a wonderful job. To fulfill it, we must learn to take care of ourselves, because our first and most loyal spectators will be our children.
According to studies, having a personal image is unavoidable; everyone, without exception, has one. It's worth asking, then, why some images are perceived better than others. The answer is simple: human beings behave on impulses that evoke feelings, and these feelings depend on the context. Therefore, we must take care of our image; if we do, we will have greater control over how others perceive us and will be able to project the right image consistently.
Wouldn't we all like to dress in the suit of success? Well, pay close attention: taking care of our image isn't just for women; it's also important for men to take care of their image.
Here are 5 tips to be a stylish dad!
- Don't say you don't care. I've heard the phrase "I don't care what others think of me" hundreds of times, but if we're honest, we all care about being successful and appreciated. Neglecting our personal image could cause us to lose credibility, lose business or a promotion, go unnoticed, or even lose a sale or a partnership.
- Find the image you want to project. Dad, ask yourself: What do I want to convey? What goal do I want to achieve? What do my family, my boss, my client, and I myself expect of me? By asking yourself these questions, you'll be able to establish a strategy to follow to cultivate your image.
- It's okay to take care of yourself. Times have changed, and dads are reinventing themselves too, because they want to look and feel their best. It's no longer unusual to see dads visiting a barbershop with a spa, buying clothes, and increasingly, they're focused on finding their own style. So go for it, Dad! Don't feel bad about taking care of yourself.
- Find clothes that suit your style. Clothing can undoubtedly be our best ally; through it, we can express who we are, what we like, and what goals we pursue. Through its design, we send stimuli to others. So, take a look at your wardrobe and before buying anything, ask yourself: Is this clothing my style, or do I just want to buy it because it's trendy?
- A Dad in Full Color. Color is one of the design elements that make up every garment. Thinking about this aspect can give us a competitive edge and allow us to persuade the viewer and guide them toward our goal. I encourage you not to dress only in black and start combining colors; for example, orange conveys creativity and positive energy. Green conveys tranquility, stability, and calm; blue is perfect for the professional sphere. The important thing is to start venturing into new colors, combining them more, and be a dad in full color.
Without a doubt, being a parent is a wonderful job. To fulfill it, we must learn to take care of ourselves, because our first and most loyal spectators will be our children, Luigina reminded us.
