Por quien nos dio la vida...

For the one who gave us life...

A tribute to those who taught us to love, even in their absence.

May arrives with flowers, with songs, with sweet words that try to express all we feel… but sometimes they fall short. Because when Mom is gone, this month hurts differently. You feel the echo of her laughter in the empty house, the memory of her hands on a recipe that no one makes the same way anymore, her absence in every little detail that used to go unnoticed.

But her presence is also there. In the values she instilled in us. In the phrases we repeat without realizing it. In that hug we now give just like she did, in that gesture reflected in the mirror. She's in our decisions, in how we care for others, in how we face life. Because a mother, when she truly loves, never really leaves.

And for those who still have her, let this note be a call to action. Not to wait. To say "thank you," "I'm sorry," "I love you" urgently, forcefully, with time. To take an afternoon to hug her for no reason. To look at her with more tenderness than usual. To honor her while she's alive, while her voice can still respond.

Mom is our roots, our shelter, our compass, our home. And when she leaves, she leaves fragments of eternity in our souls. That's why this month isn't just for celebrating, but for remembering with love, for crying if necessary, and for smiling too, for all that we became thanks to her.

Today isn't about trends or gifts. It's about gratitude.
For the one who gave us life. For the one who still lives in ours.

“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” – Exodus 20:12
