4 YEARS AS CATALYSTS FOR INNOVATION AND BUSINESS GROWTH IN ANTIGUA GUATEMALA
Promoting innovation centers outside the capital is not just a smart strategy: it's a commitment to more equitable, resilient development that is connected to local realities. Since 2021, El Cubo Center has been working to unlock the potential of Antigua Guatemala, leveraging its rich human talent, cultural identity, and emerging opportunities.
Guatemala, May 12, 2025 — This month, El Cubo Center proudly celebrates its fourth anniversary, solidifying its position as a benchmark for innovation, entrepreneurship, and professional development in the Antigua Guatemala region. Founded with the vision of transforming the local business environment, El Cubo has overcome significant challenges and generated a tangible impact on the community.
The biggest challenge of these four years was introducing a modern business model to an area historically focused on tourism and basic agriculture. El Cubo responded by creating a space that blends technology with tradition, respecting local identity and fostering a diverse community of businesses and professionals. This vision attracted new types of events and established strategic alliances that have demonstrated that Antigua can also be a hub for creative and entrepreneurial development.
Achievements that make a difference
Since its inauguration, The Cube has achieved significant milestones:
- More than 37 companies have established themselves at its facilities.
- More than 100 direct jobs have been created .
- It has organized four successful editions of the Job Expo , connecting thousands of people with quality jobs.
- Important collaboration strategies have been established with investment funds and prestigious universities, such as Francisco Marroquín University, University of Washington, and Georgia Tech.

The impact of El Cubo is reflected in the stories of its members. A prime example is Avanmed , which started with just two employees using a day pass and today, thanks to El Cubo's collaborative environment, has over 40 employees and a solid operation.
"This anniversary not only celebrates four years of operations, but four years of transformation. We have demonstrated that in Antigua Guatemala, it is also possible to innovate, create, and grow," says Christine Wilson, Director and Co-Founder of El Cubo Center.
