Guatemala, March 2025.- The Miguel Torrebiarte Sohanin Foundation -FMTS-, supports various organizations through donations that benefit Guatemalans in different communities throughout the country.

Thanks to a partnership with China Logistic, fabric was donated to the Ricardo Anderson Rural Mixed Official School for the production of curtains, tablecloths, and a stage for the various activities held at the school. At the Christian Friendship Church in Cobán, backdrops, chair covers, tablecloths, curtains, and vests for children, teachers, and staff will be made. Meanwhile, at Casa Ixchel, sheets, curtains, and tablecloths will be created, which will be very useful for serving the public.

“These donations not only cover some practical and basic needs of the beneficiaries, but also help to strengthen the bonds of support and commitment with each community,” said Marleny Aquino, Executive Director of FMTS.

Additionally, support was provided to the Cobán Aerodrome and the Pro-36 Committee of the Cobán volunteer fire department, with the donation of 94 pairs of footwear suitable for performing their duties safely and efficiently.

During a visit to the Juan José Ortega National Hospital in Coatepeque, rolls of fabric, spare parts, and toys were provided for the pediatric area to benefit the hospitalized children.

The start of classes in the technology-equipped classrooms marks a stage of innovation and transformation in the educational process. This new school year is designed to make the most of the technological tools offered by FUNDAMITO and NAAT, the latter of which is located in the Genoa area, providing students with an interactive, dynamic, and accessible learning environment.

“With resources such as computers and educational platforms, children will be able to develop skills in using technology. Teachers, for their part, will receive training to successfully integrate technology into their teaching, promoting active methodologies such as content-based learning and the creation of their own resources. This approach will not only enrich the educational experience but will also foster collaboration and critical thinking in the classroom,” concluded Marleny Aquino, Executive Director of FMTS.
