“ECOFILTRO EN MI AULA” CONTINÚA BENEFICIANDO A MILES DE NIÑOS EN GUATEMALA

“ECOFILTER IN MY CLASSROOM” CONTINUES TO BENEFIT THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN IN GUATEMALA

Guatemala, February 20, 2025. Ecofiltro, committed to its purpose of saving lives and providing health through access to safe water, announces the relaunch of its school program "Ecofiltro In My Classroom." This initiative, launched in 2013, aims to benefit thousands of students across the country, ensuring they have access to safe drinking water both at school and at home.

This year, Ecofiltro has set itself an ambitious goal: To benefit 2,723 schools with the donation of 22,525 ecofilters and to train 83,507 parents about the importance of access to safe water.

Throughout the year, Ecofiltro will donate 10,000 ecofilters to various schools across the country under the following system: Each school will receive 50% of the total number of ecofilters based on the number of classrooms it has. Additionally, for every five parents who purchase an ecofilter for home use, the school will receive one extra ecofilter. The goal is to distribute 22,525 ecofilters by 2025.

With the goal of enabling more people to join and become agents of change, a tab will soon be enabled on the Ecofiltro website, where anyone inside and outside of Guatemala can make a donation of Q265 and allocate that purchase to the “Ecofiltro In My Classroom” fund, and be part of the program to reach the goal.

“Our commitment to the health of children and their families remains our top priority. We know that access to clean water transforms lives and contributes to the development of the country. We are excited to expand the reach of this program and continue making a positive impact in thousands of communities…” commented Mynor Reyes, Commercial Manager of Ecofiltro.

The impact of the program in the last year was significant, benefiting 1,430 schools and achieving the donation of 4,435 ecofilters, resulting in 95,099 children having access to safe water in their classrooms.

This year, efforts will focus on some of the municipalities identified as most vulnerable according to Ecofiltro's strategic plan, ensuring greater coverage and efficiency in the delivery of ecofilters to the communities that need them most.

“'Ecofiltro In My Classroom' is a strategy aligned with Ecofiltro's purpose of generating a real and lasting impact on the lives of children and their families. This program has been designed with its own identity and purpose, highlighting its commitment and social impact…” Brayan García, Coordinator of Ecofiltro In My Classroom

Ecofiltro reaffirms its commitment to the health and well-being of children, knowing that providing them with access to safe water in their schools and homes is an investment in the future of the country.

With "Ecofiltro En Mi Aula", access to drinking water is strengthened and a positive change in the adoption of healthy habits in the educational community is promoted.
